Symptoms: Diarrhea, coughing, wheezing
Sidestep it: Don't go barefoot in your yard; it has millions of roundworms after 7 days o not scooping poop.

#3. BIRDS
Illness: Psittacosis
Symptoms: Headaches
Sidestep it: Before you clean the cage, wet the papers at the bottom with Lysol to avoid inhaling infected dust.

#4. LIZARDS
Illness: Salmonella infection
Symptoms: Stomach pain, diarrhea, bleeding ulvers
Sidestep it: your cold-blooded buddy as probably steeped in his stool Wear gloves when touching him.

#5. FISH
Illness: Granuloma
Symptoms: Painful skin ulcers
Sidestep it: The fish aren't dangerous, but the aquarium can be. Wear gloves when you reach into the tank.
